    Getting More Out of ACA

Anna Levesque, one of the best kayak instructors in the world, will be teaching an American Canoe Association instruction course. Tap into the knowledge Anna has gained over the years of being an instructor and an athlete over this 2-weekend period. These are the reasons the Girls at Play/ACA instructor course is not the usual and unique in many ways:

First, Anna will incorporate stretching and yoga techniques to help kayakers’ bodies when paddling. The stretching and warm-up strategies will be sure to keep you and students paddling for years to come.

Also, becoming certified through GAP opens the doors for big opportunities in the future. The course will make you eligible for exciting jobs and internships with GAP.

“The Girls at Play/ACA Instructor Course will improve your skills and deepen your knowledge whether you want to teach kayaking or not,” says Anna.Anna Levesque

Learning the GAP teaching philosophy and techniques for teaching women gives a different perspective on how to go about teaching different genders the sport of kayaking. Considering not many instructors or intermediate boaters acquire such a unique skill, it definitely sets the class apart.

The course will teach techniques for guiding timid and nervous paddlers to building and inspiring confidence in them.

“Instructor courses are the best way for intermediate boaters to improve their skills.  It worked for me and it will work for you too,” said Anna about all boaters taking the GAP/ACA course.
